Mark Shannon is a Toronto based musician. composer and producer. Mark studied music at York University with a focus on Jazz Performance, Electronic Music and Music for Film. Since then he has composed music for several feature films and documentaries, such as Return to Kandahar, The Spreading Ground, and Provocateur as well as many smaller industrial films and jingles. He is a regular music contributor to The Real News, a web-based independent news organization dedicated to delivering the news without corporate interests.

The MTV VJs travel to Sudan, Columbia and Haiti to document the lives of young girls and the challenges they face.
 
“Finding the Fallen”, a History Channel doc series. Showing begins mid November. Episodes, “Silent Witness” and “Highland Warrior”. Forensic anthropologists uncover secrets of WW1 long since buried in the trenches of the great war.
